Manifold is the first collection from artist/designer/mathematician, Anthony Leyland. Anthony creates “functional sculpture” - objects which are useful, beautiful and thoughtful, in equal measure.
Manifold 2 started with a mathematical game: make a coffee table from a square sheet of material by cutting and bending alone, with no other components.
Initially designed with card and scissors, the manifold 2 range is made in England from sheet steel, using advanced laser engineering as well as traditional craftsmanship.
Owning furniture that can be treasured for generations and retain its value is a pleasure, but also the best form of sustainability. Manifold 2’s designs are simple, elegant and timeless; its robust materials last indefinitely and age gracefully.
